There's one way to ensure that there will be no protests and very little media scrutiny - hold the G7 meetings in Iqaluit.
Due to the whole shit economy thing, you might have had a wee bit of interest in the proceedings. But there are a few problems for protestors and media looking to poke their nose in:
1. Good luck getting a hotel room
2. Even if you find a room, it will be $300/night
3. There won't be anyone camping out! Unless they want to be a corpsicle
4. A round trip ticket from Ottawa to Iqaluit is $1500 and up
5. No chance of a bus or car road trip - there's no road!

Check your link...for me it goes to SQ main page!
My initial reaction is: Isn't scrutiny from the media and the public a good thing? Wouldn't a lot of accountability be lost if you held the meeting in a remote location to avoid being bothered by the pesky public?

Well I think it's a good
Well I think it's a good thing - but governments don't! Accountability is a dirty word, such language!!!! I'M TELLING!!!
Accountability
Oh, I thought you were promoting having it in Iqualuit. Now I see you are critical of the idea.

Me not so clear - and me not so funny! :)
I acknowledge it's evil genius. And yes, I think it sucks.
